The definition of one-way football played out on Monday evening in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome - and the home team came out on top (4:0). Roma didn't give bottom-of-the-table Monza a chance and bagged their third win in a row. Alexis Saelemaekers paved the way for the capital club in their own stadium with a wonderful curler into the left corner of the goal (11th minute). In the 32nd minute, Eldor Shomurodov increased the lead with a spectacular header.
As a result, AS never let go of the reins, firing a total of 23 shots that evening - six of them on the opponent's goal. In the closing stages, Angelino (73') and Bryan Cristante (88') finally sealed the deal. Roma remain in ninth place in the table with 40 points, just two points behind Fiorentina in sixth place, which would mean qualification for the UEFA Conference League.
