Nkunku moves to Milan

Former Bundesliga top scorer Christopher Nkunku is leaving Chelsea FC and will play for the traditional Italian club AC Milan.

According to a statement, the former Leipzig player signed a contract there until June 30, 2030. The transfer of the 27-year-old Frenchman had become apparent in recent days.

According to media reports, RB Leipzig was interested in a return of Nkunku, who played for the Bundesliga club from 2019 to 2023. FC Bayern Munich was also said to have tried to sign the attacker, but reportedly only wanted him on loan, while Chelsea wanted a permanent transfer.

Nkunku scored 62 goals in 18 appearances for the Club World Cup winners and won the Conference League with the team. Shortly after joining Chelsea two years ago, an injury initially sidelined him for an extended period.
