Two Serie A teams can breathe a sigh of relief

In Serie A, the fifth matchday concluded with two Monday matches, with Lazio redeeming themselves for the derby defeat.

The 0-1 defeat against Roma just over a week ago was difficult for Lazio fans to take, as was the start of the season overall. On Monday, returning coach Maurizio Sarri's team bounced back with a 3-0 away win at Genoa. It was the Roma's second win of the season. Genoa, meanwhile, are second to last in the table and still waiting for their first win.

Parma secured this on Monday. Thanks to a brace from Argentinian Pellegrino, the home side beat Torino 2-1. The Turin team, led by former FCS coach Marco Baroni, who had coached Lazio last year, also had a disastrous start to the season.

Serie A: Monday's games
