Obermais is chasing the cup double

The South Tyrolean amateur footballers are in hibernation, only FC Obermais is still active. The people of Merano will fight for the regional cup victory on Saturday afternoon.

With a 3-0 win over St. Pauls in the South Tyrolean Oberliga cup final, FC Obermais got a ticket to the regional cup final. The Trentino Cup winner Levico will be waiting there on Saturday afternoon from 14.30 p.m. on a neutral field in Laives. The footballers from the thermal resort eliminated the national league team Benacense 3-0 in the Trentino final.

Obermais can take home its second regional trophy on Saturday. The last triumph dates back to 2008, when the Merano team won 3-2 against Dro. The winner of the final advances to the national cup phase, which takes place in the spring.
