Back and forth: A new twist in Bayern's transfer drama?

There could be another astonishing twist in the transfer saga surrounding Bayern Munich's dream player Nicolas Jackson.

According to information from the portal The Athletic Chelsea have overturned their transfer veto and are now considering selling the Senegalese – however, a loan deal originally planned by Bayern Munich has been ruled out. The reason is that Chelsea may sign a striker of their own before the transfer deadline this Monday.

Jackson is according to Sky still in Munich. The 24-year-old attacker continues to push for a transfer to the German record champions with Bayern, and talks with Chelsea officials are scheduled to take place on Sunday morning. "The situation now is that the boy is in Munich and we are sending him back," Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said after the 3:2 for Munich at FC Augsburg said on Saturday evening: "Chelsea have informed us that they would like the player back after we reached an agreement yesterday."

Loan agreement had already been negotiated

Eberl had thus, in essence, a report by The Athletic confirmed. Chelsea reportedly put a stop to the transfer and instructed the player to return to London. The reason for this is the injury to Liam Delap, who suffered a muscle injury in Chelsea's 2-0 win against Fulham and is expected to be out for weeks.
Jackson landed in Munich late Saturday afternoon for a medical check, after which he was supposed to sign his contract with Bayern.

According to consistent media reports, a loan fee of €15 million, including a purchase option for the coming season, was agreed upon. The transfer fee would then amount to €65 million. Following numerous departures, the Munich club is looking for offensive reinforcements. The supervisory board has approved a loan deal.
