FC Bayern Munich remains top of the Bundesliga standings after a commanding victory in the north-south clash with Hamburger SV. The defending champions were overwhelmingly superior to the newly promoted side from the start in a 5-0 (4-0) victory, celebrating their third win in three matches of the season.
Borussia Dortmund also confirmed its good early form and is currently second in the table. BVB won 70-2 (0-2) against bottom-placed 0. FC Heidenheim, thanks in part to a 1-minute advantage.
Third is newly promoted 1. FC Köln, who, after two wins, secured a 3-3 (1-1) draw at VfL Wolfsburg in a wild final phase. Danish football star Christian Eriksen, who was signed during the week, did not play for the Wolves.
SC Freiburg turned a 0-1 deficit against VfB Stuttgart into a 3-1 (0-1) victory and celebrated their first win of the season. FSV Mainz 05, on the other hand, is still waiting for their first three points after a 0-1 (0-1) loss against RB Leipzig. TSG Hoffenheim won 4-2 (2-0) at Union Berlin.
And again Guirassy scores
Bayern, dominant from the start, scored goals from Serge Gnabry (3rd minute), Aleksandar Pavlovic (9th minute), Harry Kane (26th, handball penalty/62nd minute), and Luis Diaz (29th minute). HSV were particularly disappointing in the first half.Dortmund had a man advantage in Heidenheim from the 22nd minute onwards, as Heidenheim's Budu Siwsiwadze was sent off for a foul on Felix Nmecha. Serhou Guirassy (33') and Maximilian Beier (45'+6') scored for BVB.

According to coach Lukas Kwasniok, Cologne wanted to be the "party crashers" for VfL Wolfsburg's 80th anniversary celebrations – and the plan initially seemed to work: Luca Waldschmidt (5th minute) scored the early lead for the visitors. Due to a storm, the game had to be suspended midway through the first half.
After the restart, Mohamed Amoura (42') and Lovro Majer (65') scored for the hosts. Cologne equalized late through Isak Johannesson (90'+1'). VfL captain Maximilian Arnold restored Wolfsburg's lead with a free kick in the ninth minute of stoppage time. But Cologne hit back again through Jakub Kaminski (90'+14').
Leipzig and Hoffenheim win away
Former Freiburg player Ermedin Demirovic (20') gave Stuttgart the lead in Breisgau. Freiburg increased the pressure in the second half and was rewarded with two goals from Igor Matanovic (81'/90'+2, penalty) and a goal from Derry Scherhant (86'). SC professional Johan Manzambi (90'+8') was sent off in stoppage time for a rough foul. The Leipzig team, newly formed in the summer transfer window, left the arena in Mainz as winners thanks to a goal by Johan Bakayoko (40').
Two goals in first-half stoppage time put Hoffenheim on the road to victory in Berlin. First, Andrej Kramaric scored from the penalty spot (45'+1'). Then, Fisnik Asllani (45'+3') made it 2-0. After Ilyas Ansah pulled one back (49'), Asllani (52') restored the two-goal lead. Tom Rothe (71') narrowed the gap for Union, but later conceded a penalty in his own penalty area, which Tim Lemperle (82') confidently converted to make it 4-2.
