Exuberant party: Manuel Neuer marries in South Tyrol

It was a wild party, a two-day celebration: Germany's football star Manuel Neuer and his Anika got married in the south of South Tyrol.

Whether for World Cup preparations with the German national team, a private weekend trip, or an extended family vacation – Manuel Neuer is a regular visitor to South Tyrol. So it's no coincidence that the multiple World Cup winner also celebrated the best day of his life here. He celebrated his wedding in the Oltradige region.

From Thursday to Sunday, Manuel Neuer and his wife Anika took time to celebrate their marriage, which they had entered into in a civil ceremony in 2023 in the closest circle of friends, with a large ceremony.

The atmosphere really got going for the first time on Friday evening when the Neuers invited everyone to their bachelorette party at Gut Kaltenburg on the Kalterer Weinstraße.

Party in Kaltern, get married in Eppan

Locals and tourists didn't get a chance to catch a glimpse of the famous couple and their guests at the get-together party in Kaltern. However, photos shared by guests on their social media channels showed the couple beaming with happiness and exuberant spirits. One video even shows Manuel and Anika Neuer dancing on chairs.

On Saturday, the wedding party headed toward Eppan. In the presence of their one-year-old son, other relatives, and numerous friends, the FC Bayern goalkeeper and the handball player exchanged vows in a small chapel at Freudenstein Castle.

Almost 200 invited guests

The Neuers rented the historic estate, nestled in the Eppan vineyards, for three days specifically for the celebration and had it hermetically sealed. The castle can accommodate up to 200 guests, and a tent roof was installed in advance to protect them from the storm clouds that had gathered that evening.

After the big wedding party in South Tyrol, the bride and groom will enjoy a week of honeymoon. Manuel Neuer and FC Bayern will not begin preseason training until July 28 due to the recently concluded Club World Cup.
