After some initial problems, the Munich team ultimately deservedly won 4-1 (1-0) against TSG Hoffenheim and, with four wins from their first four matches, comfortably sits at the top of the table. The fact that coach Vincent Kompany rested several regular players three days after the 3-1 Champions League victory against Club World Cup winners Chelsea didn't have a negative impact on the result thanks to Harry Kane's hat-trick. For Bayern fans, the victory at the start of Oktoberfest this Saturday was particularly joyous.
Bayern's starting lineup, which had five changes compared to the 3-1 win against Chelsea, initially struggled in Sinsheim. Without regulars like Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise, or Serge Gnabry, they lacked coordination and impact for a long time.

But Kane was once again reliable: The Englishman scored his sixth goal of the season to make it 1-0 in the 44th minute. Attacker Lennart Karl, who, according to data provider Opta, became the second-youngest starter in Bayern's Bundesliga history at 17 years and 210 days, provided the assist from a corner. Kane (48th/77th) added two penalties after the break.

Meanwhile, Hamburger SV not only scored their first goals since returning to the Bundesliga, but also celebrated their first victory with a 2-1 (1-0) home win against 1. FC Heidenheim. Freiburg demonstrated their upward momentum with a 3-0 (1-0) away victory at Werder Bremen. FSV Mainz 05 also won 4-1 (2-0) away at FC Augsburg.Bundesliga, 4th matchday:
