Leipzig completes the semi-finals

RB Leipzig is the last team to advance to the semi-finals of the DFB Cup.

The team of the under-pressure coach Marco Rose defeated Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 in the quarter-finals and thus preserved their last chance of winning the title this season. In front of 40.478 fans, Benjamin Sesko secured the Leipzig team's progress with a converted handball penalty (69th minute).

Previously, VfB Stuttgart, defending champions Bayer Leverkusen and third division club Arminia Bielefeld had reached the semi-finals. The semi-final matches will be drawn on Sunday (18.45 p.m.) and played on April 1 and 2.
