After Davies injury: Tempers run high

Following the serious injury of Bayern Munich professional Alphonso Davies, the Canadian Football Association has rejected the criticism of his agent Nedal Huoseh.

"Canada Soccer's coaches and experienced medical staff are true professionals and have always put the safety and well-being of the players first. Anyone who claims otherwise is wrong," said media director Paulo Senra, according to consistent media reports.

Full-back Davies suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his right knee during the 2-1 international match against the USA and will be out for approximately six months. His agent subsequently expressed severe criticism of the Canadian Football Association, stating that he should not have played against the USA at all.

Advisor makes allegations against former Leipzig coach

“I was surprised that he started because he had said he was not able to start,” Huoseh told the media group Munich Merkur/tz and particularly criticized national coach Jesse Marsch, the former coach of RB Leipzig.

"In my opinion, Jesse Marsch should have handled the situation better; this could have been prevented 100%," said the agent. "Before his time in Canada, Jesse was a professional coach at the highest level and should know full well that you shouldn't take risks with players if they tell you they can't play."

According to the The Athletic Meanwhile, Davies himself has expressed his readiness to play. He informed Marsch that he felt fit enough and wanted to play.
