First away win: Dortmund can do it

Borussia Dortmund celebrated a success at the end of the year.

BVB won a turbulent Bundesliga match at VfL Wolfsburg 3-1 and now goes into the three-week winter break in sixth place, just two points behind a Champions League place.

The goals for coach Nuri Sahin's team were scored by Donyell Malen (25th), Maximilian Beier (28th) and Julian Brandt (30th). In the second half, the game threatened to turn again after Denis Vavro made it 1:3 (58th) and Pascal Groß was shown a red card (62nd).
In the end, 28.917 spectators in the sold-out Volkswagen Arena saw Dortmund's well-deserved first away win of the Bundesliga season. And also revenge for the cup exit in Wolfsburg just two months earlier.
