Rooney no longer coach at second division club Plymouth

Former English football team player Wayne Rooney has lost his coaching position at English second division club Plymouth Argyle.

They have agreed to go their separate ways with immediate effect, said a statement from the Championship club, which is bottom of the table. Rooney took over as coach in May. "Plymouth Argyle will always have a special place in my heart," said the former Manchester United striker.

Having enjoyed great success as a player, the 39-year-old is still waiting for his breakthrough as a coach. He also only held his previous position at Birmingham City FC for a short time. Before that, he tried his hand at coaching in the USA at DC United and at the English club Derby County.
