Everything on Instagram: PSG star films the birth of his daughter

Lucas Hernández has given a particularly intimate insight into his private life. The French World Cup winner filmed the birth of his daughter – and subsequently posted the video online.

Lucas Hernández has had a fantastic season: With Paris Saint-Germain, the 29-year-old defender made history, winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Champions League, completing the club's first treble. In the Club World Cup final about a week and a half ago, there was a hefty setback against Chelsea ( 0:3), Hernández's happiness seems unlikely to have evaporated these days. Why? His daughter, Lua Victoria, was born at the end of June. A highlight he shared with his fans a month later – in an unusual way.

The former FC Bayern Munich star posted a video on Instagram in which he took his followers through the final stages before the birth. The drive to the hospital, the final ultrasound scan, holding hands in the delivery room shortly before the birth – all accompanied by emotional music.

But the Frenchman went a step further than usual with baby posts. When his daughter was born, he immediately took a picture – capturing her first seconds for his fans. The unusual public nature of this otherwise intimate moment was met with much enthusiasm on social media, with Hernández's national team colleague Benjamin Pavard commenting on the post with four heart emojis.

Lua Victoria is Hernández's third child; he has a son named Martin and a daughter named Nieves with his former partner Amelia Lorente. He has now crowned his love affair with Victoria Triay.
