The Rittner Buam SkyAlps' schedule is tough at the moment, with the blue-reds on the ice at least two, if not three times a week. The Buam will also play three games in the next five days. But they can count on reinforcements: Mads Larsen, a Danish defender from the ICE Hockey League, is coming to Ritten, and Joachim Ramoser could also make a dream comeback.
The name Joachim Ramoser is well known in ice hockey-mad South Tyrol and especially on the Ritten. The 29-year-old is from Oberbozen, but he only played for the Rittner Buam in his very young years. Instead, he played in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL), where he was on the ice 133 times for teams of the caliber of EHC Munich, ERC Ingolstadt and Nuremberg Ice Tigers.

His career could have been even better if Ramoser hadn't been repeatedly held back by injuries. Torn cruciate ligaments, cartilage damage, corrections to his knee - the 1,78 meter tall and 93 kilogram heavy winger was plagued by bad luck. But he has been feeling better for a few months and now he wants to give it another go: Since the start of the season, Ramoser has been a regular at the Rittner Buam SkyAlps training and on Thursday against KHL Sisak the 69-time Italian international will probably celebrate his comeback.
Ritten continues to rebuild
Then the second new addition to the Rittner Buam SkyAlps could also be on the ice for his new club for the first time. This is the Danish defender Mads Larsen, who last played for EC KAC, but was not confirmed there. Larsen has found a new club on the Ritten, where he is likely to play the role of Erno Hopponen will take. The Finn and the Rittner Buam SkyAlps have terminated the contract, and the foreign contingent has been replenished with Larsen. The 1,80 meter tall and 82 kilogram heavy, 29-year-old Dane already knows the Buam, after all, he played for EHC Lustenau in the 2022-23 season and met the blue-reds back then. In previous years, Larsen played in Denmark and Sweden, and last season he played for VHK Vsetin in the Czech Republic. This season he then moved to the Blue Devils Weiden in the DEL2 and then on to Klagenfurter AC in the ICE Hockey League, before Larsen is now joining the Alps Hockey League for the second time.

"We hope that we have been able to strengthen ourselves significantly for the next tasks with these two players. The Italian championship is just around the corner, and we also want to create a good starting position for the playoffs of the Alps Hockey League in the last games of the regular season. We especially wish Joachim (Ramoser, editor's note) all the best for his comeback after this long period of suffering," said the two sports directors Dan Tudin and Alexander Eisath.
