Successful test: Cavaliers beat US troops

The Unterland Cavaliers won their first friendly match of their preparations for the upcoming season – against guests from the USA.

On Monday evening, the HC Unterland Cavaliers faced Plymouth State University, a team competing in NCAA Division III – the lowest division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Cavaliers won the friendly 3-1, with Fabian Glöggl, Tobias Brighenti, and Alex Egger scoring for the South Tyroleans. A promising start to their preparations for their fourth season in the Alps Hockey League.

However, the test against the young team from the USA is not the only stage on the way to the new season. Until the opening match on September 20 against the Wipptal Broncos, six more test matches on the program – including against Val Gardena, Eppan and Asiago.
