The regular season has long since been shelved, and the intermediate rounds of the Alps Hockey League also came to an end on Sunday. This means that the pairings for the pre-playoffs have been determined, in which the last three tickets for the quarter-finals will be awarded.
The HC Meran will face KHL Sisak, the Wipptal Broncos on Celje, during the HC Val Gardena against Bregenzerwald wants to jump on the playoff train. The pre-playoffs will be played in best-of-three mode, game 1 on Thursday, February 27th, game 2 on Saturday, March 1st and a possible game 3 on Tuesday, March 4th.
Home advantage for Merano and Wipptal
Meran and Wipptal each start their series with home advantage, while Val Gardena must win at least once away from home to win the series. The season ended on Saturday for the Unterland Cavaliers, while Ritten is the only South Tyrolean team to have already qualified for the quarter-finals.
