Two youngsters leave the Cavs

The Unterland Cavaliers continue to work on their roster for the upcoming season. On Thursday, the club announced the departure of two players.

Matteo Liprandi and Patrick Cont will no longer be on the ice for the Cavaliers next season. The defenseman and center are thus packing up camp in the Lower Austrian region. Where the two will end up next season remains to be seen.

Cont played in the 2023/24 IHL season with Neumarkt and Fiemme, where his performances earned him a spot in the Alps Hockey League and earned him a contract with the Cavs. However, after 29 games (4 points), this adventure is already over for the 20-year-old. 21-year-old defenseman Liprandi is also leaving the Lancers after two seasons in the Lower Austrian region. He scored 38 points in 8 games last season.

The club said goodbye to its former players:
"Thank you for everything, guys—for your dedication, your passion, and all the special moments we were able to experience together. We wish you all the best for your upcoming challenges."
