Bolzano misunderstanding moves to Sweden

There is news from HC Bozen: On Thursday it was announced that a striker will no longer play for the Foxes.

Last summer, Giordano Finoro moved from Asiago to Bolzano with strong credentials. However, the Italian-Canadian never really warmed to life in the South Tyrolean capital. The reverse was also true. Now, the Bolzano chapter is closing for the striker from Ontario, Canada. As announced on Thursday, Finoro has signed with the Swedish second division.

Starting next season, the 26-year-old will be in the hunt for goals for IF Troja-Ljungby. The Swedish club announced this on its social media channels. Troja-Ljungby recently gained promotion from the third to the second division. The former Bolzano player will meet an old acquaintance in the far north: Allan McShane, with whom Finoro played for two years in Asiago, will also be donning the Scandinavian jersey.

Third departure at Bolzano

Finoro had a complicated season in Bolzano. Despite being tall and strong, he remained ineffective throughout the winter. He finished with 20 points in 46 games. In the playoffs, the Italian-Canadian was almost exclusively a spectator.

Finoro is the third confirmed departure from HC Bolzano. In recent days, it was announced that Cole Hults and Simon Bourque (both to Vienna) will no longer play for the Foxes.
