On Tuesday evening, HCP clarified another personnel matter with the re-employment of Daniel Glira. The 31-year-old defender, who also spent four years with HC Bozen, will begin his twelfth season with the Wolves.
But that's not all: Pustertal has extended Glira's new contract until summer 2027, thus extending it by two years. "We are very pleased that we can count on Daniel for another two years and expect him to build on his performances," said sporting director Patrick Bona, quoted by the club. "We were very pleased with how Daniel blossomed again last season. He's probably had his strongest season in the ICE."

With ten points in 56 games, the defensive specialist set a new personal best for the ICE last winter. The season ended with him playing for the Blue Team at the B World Championships in Romania.

"I'm thrilled that I'll be able to wear the Wolves jersey here at home for my club and in front of our wonderful Puschtra fans for the next two seasons," said Glira. With 522 appearances, he is – just behind Raphael Andergassen – the longest-serving HCP player in the new squad. This number will be increased even further in the next two years, that much is certain.
