The 30-year-old Canadian is leaving Bruneck and the ICE Hockey League for a trip north. He's moving to Wales to join the Cardiff Devils, where Brett Perlini, another former HCP striker, is under contract.
Lacroix's departure had long been a foregone conclusion, as the club had immediately refrained from extending his contract after an extremely mixed season.
Lots of time in the cooler
With 154 penalty minutes, the former Vorarlberg star was by far the league's worst player. While he showed presence in front of the opposing goal, he was rarely able to influence Pustertal's offensive play as a center. His defensive weaknesses are reflected in his plus-minus statistic (-14), the worst of all Pustertal's guest players.Pustertal's Cedric Lacroix (right) cuddled with Klagenfurt's Thomas Hundertpfund in this scene. © F. In total, Lacroix made 54 appearances for the Wolves, scoring 10 goals and 14 assists. He plans to showcase his skills in the British EIHL in the future.
