HC Pustertal is forging ahead with its squad planning for the upcoming season. In the background, Sporting Director Patrick Bona's phone lines are buzzing, with numerous discussions and negotiations underway. It's now official that Cedric Lacroix will no longer be part of the HCP family.
The 30-year-old Canadian and HC Pustertal are parting ways after just one year, as the Wolves have now announced. This means the league's worst player is saying goodbye to Bruneck. Lacroix accumulated no fewer than 154 penalty minutes last season.

Even when he signed in the summer, it was clear that Lacroix was no stranger to the game. He then impressively confirmed this, becoming a regular in the penalty box. However, due to his reputation, Lacroix was often treated particularly harshly by the referees. The North American was no asset to the HCP as a player, revealing technical and defensive deficiencies, as underscored by his worst plus-minus statistic of all visiting players (-14).
Tyler Coulter is also gone
Pustertal can therefore cope with this departure, just as it can with that of Tyler Coulter. He, too, will not be wearing the Black and Yellow jersey next season. The wandering Canadian never truly found his place in the team, even though he did show signs of his potential in the playoffs.Following Jason Akeson, Ivan Althuber, Andreas Bernard, Tommaso Traversa, Alex Petan, Josh Wesley, and Brett Findlay, these are now the eighth and ninth departures. According to reports from the Pustertal Valley, one or two new signings will be announced in the coming days.
