HC Bozen: The reasons for the failure

Before the first puck dropped on September 20, 2024, HCB Südtirol Alperia set a season goal of reaching the semifinals of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). The "White-Reds" have achieved this goal, although the Bolzano clubhouse may have secretly fancied a third championship title in the cross-border championship, following their triumphs in 3 and 2014. There are several reasons for HCB's premature defeat.

The Bolzano team featured (too) many outstanding puck artists who, while demonstrating their talent and delighting the crowd throughout the winter, delivered consistently good performances far too rarely. But the players weren't solely responsible for this.
