On Wednesday: Bolzano plays against Merano

HC Merano opens its home season on Wednesday with a real test match. HCB Südtirol Alperia will be the guests at the MeranArena.

Bolzano vs. Merano is a long-standing tradition in South Tyrolean ice hockey. Although the Füchse and the Adler don't (or no longer) meet in the league, there will at least be a friendly match between the HCB and HCM on Wednesday. The match will take place at 20 p.m. in the MeranArena in Untermais.

The Merano team competed in a tournament in Peiting (GER) this weekend, while the HCB competed in Scandinavia as part of the Champions Hockey League. However, the team from the state capital is already one step ahead of Merano in terms of preparation, as the ICE Hockey League starts its new season on September 12th.
