Domestic violence: World champion arrested again

Three-time sprint world champion Fred Kerley is in trouble with the law again. As reported by CBS Miami and USA Today, among others, the 29-year-old was temporarily arrested after a heated argument with his ex-girlfriend Alaysha Johnson.

As a result, he was disqualified from the Grand Slam Track Meet in Miami. The incident reportedly occurred at the event's official hotel. According to the police report, Johnson stated that Kerley had punched her once in the face with a closed fist, causing a bloody nose. Police officers considered the injuries consistent with her statements and arrested Kerley.

Kerley's behavior had only recently attracted attention, and police officers even used an electric shock device to stun him. According to police, Kerley approached an ongoing police investigation and attempted to get to his nearby parked car. He allegedly refused to leave the area and became increasingly aggressive. Kerley resisted arrest and was subdued by several police officers, including the use of a taser.
