Regional and state championship titles awarded

From a South Tyrolean perspective, Linda Maria Pircher did well in Cles. The Burgstaller from SV Lana achieved 5.40 m in the long jump and the U23 all-around athlete achieved 11.50 m in the shot put. Her younger brother David won the U20 shot put and the 110 m hurdles. Jakob Göller from ASC Passeier was in a class of his own in the U20 javelin throw with 56.96 m. On Sunday in Brixen, a few more South Tyrolean athletes were able to put themselves in the spotlight. Marie Burger (U20) from Vahrn won the 200 m run in 24.91 seconds, while Emily Vucemillo from Meran timed the 5000 m in 17:59.93 minutes. Lara Vorhauser from Sterzing won the 800 m in 2:20.83 minutes, Marina Gazzotti from SG Eisacktal won the U23 javelin throw with 41.32 m. The 4x100 m relay team from Athletic Club 96 Bozen (Gabriele Sireus, Juan Martin Irsara, Lorenzo Bocchio, Herrmann Ludescher) won the U3 title in 32.05:23 minutes. The national champions of the U14 and U16 categories were also crowned in the “Raiffeisen Arena” in Brixen. In the U16 class, Hannah Thaler from Bruneck won four titles (long distance, javelin, 4x100m relay, 100+200+300+400 m). Her teammates Alexa Schneider, Julia Moser and Luzia Forer as well as Stephanie Schöpf from Lana each won two gold medals. Among the boys, the athletes from the Bolzano club CSS Leonardo da Vinci particularly shone. Mattia Andreasi (3 wins), Marco Santoni and Francesco Antonelli (two wins each) were unstoppable, Maximilian Springeth from SAB and Leo Masi (discus, hammer) from SAF Bozen also celebrated two successes. Alexander Mayr from Bruneck won the 1000 m and 1200 steeplechase. In the U14 category, Sarah Peroni and Giulia Biolcati (both SAB) were crowned double national champions, while their teammate Andrea Bassani even made it onto the winner's podium three times in the boys' category. The regional championship titles in the U20 and U23 age groups were awarded on Saturday in Cles and on Sunday in Brixen. The U14 and U16 state championships also took place in the episcopal city at the weekend.
