After fatal accident: Boxing star released from hospital

British boxing star Anthony Joshua has been released from hospital after a serious car accident in Nigeria.

His management confirmed this information to the news agency. AP. According to reports, Joshua left the hospital on Wednesday evening (local time). His promoter stated that he will remain in Nigeria for the next few days.

A statement released by regional government authorities on Wednesday read: “Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their respects to his two deceased friends as they were prepared for repatriation later this evening.”

Joshua, 36, was involved in a serious car accident on Monday. He sustained only minor injuries, but his personal trainer and strength coach were killed. Joshua, who grew up in Britain as the son of Nigerian immigrants, was traveling from the economic hub of Lagos to visit his mother in Sagamu. According to local authorities, a tire on his car burst, causing it to crash into a stationary truck at high speed.
