Death at 46: Mourning for former boxing world champion

Former boxing world champion Ricky Hatton has died at the age of 46, according to consistent media reports.

As reported on Sunday by the PA news agency and the BBC, among others, the Briton was found dead in his home in Hyde. According to local police, who have not publicly released the deceased's name, the death is currently not being treated as suspicious.

In July, Hatton announced that he would return to the ring for a fight against Eisa Al Dah in Dubai in December. After retiring in 2012, Hatton worked as a boxing promoter and trainer, among other things.
