Great success for Muay Thai event in Val Gardena

On Sunday, an international martial arts event with participants from the Muay Thai scene took place in Ortisei. Organized by the Hanuman Muay Thai sports club, the event attracted significant interest. Numerous spectators, athletes, and coaches attended, ensuring a successful premiere.

The South Tyrolean fighters consistently delivered committed and combative performances. Several of them won their fights. Sara Nocker from Ortisei made her debut without a helmet against an opponent from Spain and delivered a strong performance. Emil Comploi, also from Ortisei, was the only athlete competing in kickboxing. He fought his first fight in this discipline and impressed with a very solid performance.

South Tyrolean professional fighter Bettina Gruber won the event belt against the strong Spaniard Azahara Mohedano. European champion Desiree Righi from South Tyrol lost to Roman Ylenia Ciaccia in an intense three-round fight.

In light contact, several children from Val Gardena also competed in their first fights and achieved remarkable results. Due to this great success, the Hanuman Muay Thai sports club plans to hold another event of this kind next year.
