South Tyrol's new martial arts community

South Tyrol has a new home for the martial arts community: The first Oktagon fan club, combining courage, discipline, and passion for martial arts, was founded this year in the heart of our region. What began in the mountains is now well on its way to becoming one of the strongest communities in the German-speaking region.

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is a combat sport that combines various techniques from boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and other disciplines. Athletes compete in a fair and strictly regulated competition in the octagon, an octagonal cage. The goal in MMA is to defeat the opponent through technique, martial arts, and tactics. The sport demands not only physical strength, but also strategy and mental toughness.

The goal of the Oktagon Fan Club is to build a community of people who love the sport. They travel together to Oktagon events and share a passion for MMA. A particular focus of the fan club is the promotion of local fighters. The fan club proudly supports Raphael Federico (Senesien), one of South Tyrol's up-and-coming MMA fighters. The first Oktagon Fan Club South Tyrol is a meeting place where everyone is welcome – from beginners to experts.
