While things haven't always gone according to plan for Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc on the track this season, the Monegasque is on cloud nine in his private life. On Sunday, he announced his engagement to his sweetheart on social media.

"Mr and Mrs Leclerc" with a ring and three hearts, Leclerc wrote under a social media post on Sunday. While some users initially suspected that Leclerc and his girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux had married, the pictures then revealed: The Monegasque player had proposed to his sweetheart – the two are getting married.

The eight photos in the post show Leclerc, his new fiancée, and their dog Leo, a miniature long-haired dachshund. A particularly sweet detail: a tag attached to a leash reads, "Dad wants to marry you!" It seems the little dog may have helped Leclerc with the proposal.

Leclerc and Saint Mleux have been a couple since 2023, having met through mutual friends. They made their first public appearance as a couple at Wimbledon that same year. Since then, she has regularly accompanied Charles to his Formula 1 races and made appearances in the paddock. Saint Mleux is known as an influencer, particularly in the fashion industry.
