The Spanish Ducati factory rider slid off the track after six of 13 laps in Saturday's short race, giving the victory to Italian pole-sitter Marco Bezzecchi. The Aprilia rider won ahead of the Ducati duo of Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

In front of motorcycle legend Valentino Rossi and Formula 1 star Lando Norris, Marquez, who has already won 14 sprint races this season, crashed, thus giving up his ninth consecutive sprint victory. The 32-year-old, who now leads his brother Alex by 173 points in the World Championship, had previously taken the lead with aggressive maneuvers.
