Marquez writes Ducati history with another victory

Marc Marquez has underlined his dominance in MotoGP. Following Saturday's sprint, the Spanish motorcycle star also won the Czech Grand Prix in Brno on Sunday.

This marked his fifth consecutive win of both races on the same weekend. He also became the first Ducati rider to win five Grand Prix races in a row. Second place in the final race before the summer break went to Italian Marco Bezzecchi, with Spanish KTM rider Pedro Acosta taking third place.

Overall, it was the eighth Grand Prix victory for the season's dominant rider, who took the lead from Bezzecchi on lap eight and never relinquished it. In the World Championship standings, the eight-time world champion extended his lead over his brother Alex Marquez, who retired, to 120 points.

Marquez very satisfied

"It was obviously a great first part of the season," emphasized Marc Marquez. He's riding well, but he also has to thank the team. "Now we're going to rest during the summer break, and then we need to approach Austria with the same mentality," said the World Championship leader.

He still needs one more win at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg; the Grand Prix is scheduled for August 17. A sprint race will take place the day before.
