Brother double victory in the sprint at Assen

The MotoGP sprint for the Dutch Grand Prix on Saturday also did not bring a new winner this season – but instead a brotherly one-two victory.

Motorcycle superstar Marc Marquez narrowly beat Alex Marquez (both Ducati) in Assen, with Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) taking third place behind the Spanish brothers. Marc Marquez thus extended his lead over Alex in the World Championship standings to 43 points.

The best KTM rider was Spaniard Maverick Vinales of the Tech3 team in sixth place. Frenchman Fabio Quartararo crashed on the fourth-to-last lap while running in fourth place. The Yamaha rider will start from pole position in Sunday's main race.
