Successful weekend for South Tyrol's motocross riders

South Tyrol's motocross scene was in top form last Sunday at the second round of the regional championship, which also counted towards the Veneto Championship. On the challenging track in Coredo in the Non Valley, the South Tyrolean riders celebrated a total of eight podium finishes.

Felix Tschager of Alp-Riders Meran secured the first notable victory in the 65 Cadetti class, securing an excellent second place. In the highly competitive 85 Junior category, Jakob Gampenrieder (Alp-Riders Meran) rode a commanding race and took first place. Matteo Benamati of MC Arco rounded out the strong field with fourth place. An Alp-Riders rider also won the 85 Senior category: Gabriel Hueber took the day's victory, while Lorenz Vill (TTS) finished seventh.

In the MX2 Challenge class, Matteo Brusinelli (Motor's Sporting Leifers) delivered an impressive performance, securing another stage victory. The other South Tyrolean riders, Gianluca Lira (TTS), Andreas Malfertheiner (Alp-Riders Meran), Samuel Gottardi (MC Evergreen), and Harald Buchschwenter (Ferlu Racing), finished 7th, 10th, 11th, and 18th, respectively.

Hannes Pfattner (Alp-Riders Meran) impressed in the MX2 Rider category with a strong fourth place, while Andrea Asinari (Scuderia Dolomiti) finished seventh. In the MX2 Expert class, the Alp-Riders Meran team shone with Moritz Flarer as the dominant winner and Michael Rabensteiner in fourth place. Dominik Varotto (Ferlu Racing) finished fifth.

The South Tyroleans also confirmed their class in the higher age groups: Mario Franzoi (Ferlu Racing) won the Open Veteran category. In the Open Super Veteran category, Martin Niedermair and Helmuth Braun (both MC Neumarkt) took second and third place. Marco Belleri and Davide Varotto (both Ferlu Racing) finished fourth and eighth, respectively. Norbert Lantschner (MC Evergreen) rounded out the successful record with a victory in the Open Masters.
