In Albettone, the local riders achieved numerous strong results. In the 65 Debutanti, Lenny Trafoier finished fifth, while Felix Tschager and Leonhard Holzer of Alp-Riders Meran took fourth and seventh places in the 65 Cadetti class. Gabriel Hueber secured the top result, celebrating a commanding victory in the 85 Senior category. In the MX2 Challenge, Matteo Brusinelli of Motor' Sporting Leifers impressed with third place, while Gianluca Lira (TTS) and Harald Buchschwenter (Ferlu Racing) had to settle for 10th and 14th, respectively. Dominik Varotto, a Ferlu Racing rider, also achieved success in the MX2 Expert class, finishing eleventh. In the Open Master class, Norbert Lantschner of MC Evergreen was narrowly defeated, taking second place. Marco Belleri also climbed onto the podium (2nd place) in the Open Superveteran, while his teammate Davide Varotto finished sixth. In the Open Veteran, Mario Franzoi rounded off the good overall result for South Tyrol with 7th place.
At the finale of the Italian Championship in Ottobiano, the young South Tyrolean talents showed off their talent. Jakob Gampenrieder of the Alp-Riders Meran rode a strong race in the first race of the 65cc class, finishing 10th. A crash in the second race prevented him from achieving an even better daily placing, so he finished 23rd overall and 19th in the championship. In the 85cc Senior category, Liam Pichler of the MC Berbenno Pardi Royal Pat shone with an excellent fourth place in the first race. After a crash in the second race, he had to settle for eighth place in the daily standings, but still managed to secure an excellent 5th place in the championship. Elia Fulco of the MC Arco finished the weekend in 13th place in the daily standings and 28th in the final classification.
The South Tyrolean motocross riders have once again confirmed their strength at both the regional and national levels and continue to be one of the major players in the motocross scene.
