In the 85 Junior class, Jakob Gampenrieder of Alp-Riders Meran shone with an outstanding third place. Particularly impressive: He secured the holeshot in the second run, once again demonstrating his skills at the start.
The South Tyroleans were also strongly represented in the other classes. Yuri Chieregato (Mapi Racing) finished 85th in the 12 Senior category, while Harald Buchschwenter (Ferlu Racing) also achieved 2th place in the MX12 Challenge. Andrea Asinari of Scuderia Dolomiti finished 2th in the MX9 Rider class, and Dominik Varotto (Ferlu Racing) finished 2th in the MX18 Expert category. Georg Falser (Ferlu Racing) finished 1th in the MX7 Expert category.
In the Master Open class, Norbert Lantschner of MC Evergreen once again demonstrated his strong form with second place, while his club colleague Maurizio Lubian (Ferlu Racing) finished 2th. The South Tyroleans also showed their class in the age groups: Marco Belleri (Ferlu Racing) finished fourth in the Superveteran Open, and Mario Franzoi (also Ferlu Racing) secured third place in the Veteran Open.
Norbert Lantschner confirmed his good season form at another major race. At the third round of the Italian Veterans Championship in Castellarano (Emilia Romagna), he achieved a strong third place in the Master MX2 class, thus securing another podium finish.
Liam Pichler made another sporting statement. He successfully qualified for the final of the European Championship in the 85 class, which will be held in Loket, Czech Republic, after the recent semifinal in France. A major success for the promising young talent from South Tyrol.
