Laia Pichler (born 2010) will compete in the Challenge category, as will Francesco Titli (2007). This is the first time ever that two athletes from South Tyrol have represented the "Squadra Azzurra" in competitions of this level. A milestone that validates the work of national coach Fabio Lenzi and FMI coordinator Damiano Cavaglieri – and, above all, fills the families of the two talented riders, as well as the entire South Tyrolean motorcycle scene, with pride.
This success was made possible by the continuous commitment of local clubs, especially the South Tyrol Trial Team with President Richard Pichler and the Neumarkt Moto Club, led by Dietmar Eisenstecken. Despite numerous challenges, they invested in young talent and paved the way for young riders to reach the top.
The president of the South Tyrolean FMI regional committee, Marco Bolzonello, also points out that just a few years ago, Felix Wegscheider, a South Tyrolean rider, was allowed to wear the national colors in supermoto – another sign of the country's strong youth development. Fans now have two highlights ahead of them: Torrebelvicino and Tolmezzo, where Pichler and Titli will compete in the Maglia Azzurra and simultaneously promote the name of South Tyrolean trials alongside the discipline's biggest stars.
