Pickleball tournament in Klausen

This Saturday, 51 athletes from South Tyrol, Trentino and Lombardy met in Klausen for the first regional pickleball championship.

Ten teams from Chiusa, Trento, Bolzano, and Gsies participated. Aquila Trento won, Pickleball Trento took silver, and Gsieser Tal 2 took third place.

After the regional championship, there was the national tournament (the first on South Tyrolean soil), with many exciting matches in the “over 10” and “over 50” categories and the disciplines “singles” (women and men), “doubles” (women and men) and “mixed”.

Pickleball is currently experiencing a boom in South Tyrol. Last year, it spread to Klausen, Bolzano, the Gsieser Valley, and now also to Siusi.
