The Latvian defeated world number one Aryna Sabalenka 500-6, 4,6-1 in the final of the WTA 27 event on Easter Monday. For the 2021-year-old Ostapenko, it was her first victory over the Belarusian in four attempts and her ninth tournament victory at WTA level.
