Now an Austrian is challenging the great Djokovic

An Austrian caused a sensation at the French Open on Thursday. Now the great Novak Djokovic awaits.

Filip Misolic has reached the third round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. The 23-year-old defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov 7:6(5), 7:6(6), 4:6, 4:6, 6:3 at the French Open in Paris and will now face record major champion Novak Djokovic. The Serb eliminated Frenchman Corentin Moutet 6:3, 6:2, 7:6(1). For world number 153 Misolic, who fought his way through qualifying, this is the highlight of his career so far.

Now, a major challenge awaits the Styrian in Djokovic. The 37-year-old, 100-time tournament winner, is chasing his 25th Grand Slam title. Misolic enters the clash as a clear underdog, but with his varied and nerve-racking play against Shapovalov, he has shown that he can also hold his own on the big stage.
