Sweet baby news: Italy's tennis star overjoyed

Lorenzo Musetti hasn't only been on a high in his sporting career for weeks; he's also on cloud nine in his personal life. He has some good news to share.

Lorenzo Musetti and his long-time girlfriend Veronica Confalonieri are expecting another child. The 23-year-olds already have a son: Ludovico was born just over a year ago. Now another boy is on the way.

In a recent interview, Musetti said: "The birth of my son has changed me—as a person, but also as a player." Now he and his partner have announced their second pregnancy with a loving Instagram post. "The family is growing," they captioned it.

The news of the new addition to the family comes just days before the start of the French Open, where Musetti will be among the extended circle of contenders for victory starting Sunday.

The clay-court specialist from Carrara, Tuscany, aims to continue his recent run of success in Paris. Musetti recently reached the semifinals in Madrid and Rome, and even reached the final in Monte Carlo. This catapulted him to eighth place in the world rankings, thus avoiding top stars Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz at least until the quarterfinals at the French Open.
