This Sinner photo leaves the tennis world puzzled

With every passing day, Jannik Sinner's comeback comes closer. The Sexten superstar is working on his return - and now a photo is causing speculation.

Jannik Sinner is forced to improvise these days. Why? The world number one is not allowed to practice on official tennis courts until April 13th due to his suspension, and he is also not allowed to train with players with tesserates. So how does the Sextner want to prepare for his comeback?

A photo is now sparking speculation. It shows Jannik Sinner spending a cozy evening in Monte Carlo with Dominic Thiem and his team. Alongside Dominic, his brother Moritz and Stefan Herzog, the manager, are also there. Just a chance meeting? Or is there more to it?

Dominic Thiem, the former Grand Slam winner and number 1 in the world, ended his career last autumn and would therefore be the ideal sparring partner for Sinner. Especially because Thiem was one of the best players on clay in recent years. And that is where Sinner will attack again once he has served his suspension.

A big but

There is a catch, however. Although Thiem is no longer an official player on the tennis tour, he is still registered with the Austrian Tennis Association. This is why he is also forbidden from training with Sinner. Only if Thiem gives up this status would the way be clear for training with the Sextner. It remains to be seen whether it will just be a shared dinner - or whether something more will come of it.
