Daniel Yule & Co: The course is set in the ski circus

When things aren't going as planned for ski stars, the equipment often takes center stage. This is also the case with AJ Ginnis and Daniel Yule, who have turned away from their previous equipment supplier.

These have been difficult days for ski equipment manufacturer Fischer. Within a few hours, two slalom stars, AJ Ginnis and Daniel Yule, have terminated their contracts with the traditional Austrian company. The reason: Both want a fresh start in the Ski World Cup.

Swiss skier Yule didn't reach his peak performances last winter, only making it into the top ten twice. The slalom specialist attributed one reason to his equipment. "I realized that I needed a new stimulus in terms of equipment," Yule told the Swiss tabloid. View The 32-year-old skied on Fischer skis for 19 years.

Yule quickly found a new supplier. From now on, the Swiss will be supplied with equipment by Atomic. Yule conducted some tests at Reiteralm after the season and subsequently signed a two-year contract. "I haven't had such a broad smile on my face in a long time as I did after this test," Yule says, confident that he has found the right supplier in Atomic.

Ginnis still searching

AJ Ginnis, however, was unable to announce a deal. The Greek with roots in the USA has also competed exclusively with Fischer equipment in the World Cup. "Fischer was more than a ski company. It was a constant. A comfort. A family. Saying goodbye is never easy. But sometimes even the best stories need a new chapter," Ginnis said in a social media post. It's still unclear what equipment the slalom ace will use in the future.
