It's about Brignone: Goggia's astonishing statement

Sofia Goggia caused a stir with a surprising statement about her injured teammate Federica Brignone.

Federica Brignone's serious injury has deeply shaken the Italian skiing world. In April, the overall World Cup champion suffered a severe crash during a meaningless Italian Championship race, tearing her cruciate ligament and fracturing multiple bones. "Some need two years to come back from an injury like that," Brignone said at the time.

The big question in Italy is therefore: Will the Olympic Games in February go ahead without the superstar? Brignone himself recently... a bleak update, But she also emphasized that as long as there was a spark of hope, she would believe in it.

This spark of hope was now ignited by none other than her teammate Sofia Goggia. In a conversation on RaiRadio2 The downhill skier caused a stir with a statement about Brignone. "I feel sorry for Marta Bassino." (She injured herself a few days ago, editor's note), Brignone, on the other hand, looks like she'll be back on skis at the end of November. Let's all wish her the best of luck!

Strapping on her skis again by the end of November would be a huge milestone for Federica Brignone in her comeback plans. While there would still be a long way to go to regain her racing form, the prospect of the Olympics would become more tangible – and her confidence noticeably stronger.
