Larsson and Tschurtschenthaler celebrate in Andorra

Anna Swenn Larsson prevented Zrinka Ljutic from winning her first World Cup in Soldeu (AND). The experienced Swede didn't get nervous in the final and confidently took the half-time lead to the finish. There is a sense of achievement for Vera Tschurtschenthaler.

Swenn Larsson won the slalom in Soldeu. In wintry conditions, the Swede confirmed her half-time lead and won by 35 hundredths ahead of Ljutic.

The talented Croatian still has to wait for her first World Cup victory. For this she is on the podium for the third time. The podium is completed by Paula Moltzan. The same applies to Americans: please wait. The 29-year-old was in second place in the first round, but was unable to achieve her longed-for first World Cup victory.

Best World Cup result for Tschurtschenthaler

The Frenchwoman Chiara Pogneaux made a huge leap forward. She was in 30th place at the break, gained 20 (!) places and finished the slalom in 10th place. This made her better than the best-placed Italian. However, Marta Rossetti was also able to improve in the final (from 19 to 12). Vera Tschurtschenthaler can also be happy. The Sesto native gained 11 places and came 18th. This is her best World Cup result to date.
