Injury luck: Norwegian takes it with humor

Another injury has now been added to the numerous injuries in the Ski World Cup.

Skiing is always an activity that involves a certain amount of risk - this was shown especially by the recent World Cup events for men and women in Bormio and Semmering. Recently, a top Norwegian athlete announced that she had injured herself in the giant slalom in Austria.

Kristin Lysdahl broke her hand during the race in Semmering, as the 28-year-old reported on social media around the turn of the year. The Norwegian posed with her splint and commented on her post: "I broke my hand and my splint looks like a candy cane. I'll be back soon, I promise." In her post, she also showed the scene in which she hit the pole with her hand.

Although the Scandinavian took her injury lightly, Lysdahl's season has so far gone anything but according to plan, with a 24th place in the giant slalom in Killington as her best result. Now the broken hand marks an unfortunate end to a difficult year.
