In December, Runggaldier suffered a serious fall at the training camp in Copper Mountain (USA), resulting in a broken fibula, a torn cruciate and medial ligament, cartilage damage to the tibial head, and a meniscus injury.

In July, the 26-year-old celebrated her comeback on snow (SportNews reported)Now comes another important step on her return. From Monday, August 11, to Wednesday, August 13, Runggaldier will complete several training sessions with coach Davide Brignone on the Cervinia glacier (Aosta Valley). Francesca Carolli will also be there. The 20-year-old from Rome is also working on her comeback.
