The flood of cancellations on the Matterhorn continues

The Ski World Cup in Zermatt/Cervinia is still not going well. Now the weather is putting a damper on even the world's best downhill skiers.

The first training for the women's downhill runs in Zermatt/Cervinia this Wednesday has been canceled. Strong winds prevented the event from taking place, which is why not all lifts were in operation. There was also snowfall again during the night. The next training session is scheduled for Thursday at 11.45 a.m., when the weather forecast is better.

Training is expected to be canceled again on Friday due to weather conditions (wind, snowfall); the forecasts for the races on Saturday and Sunday are currently very changeable. The men had no luck with the weather on the two-country downhill run on the “Gran Becca” the previous week; apart from one training session, all runs had to be cancelled.
