The mega descent on the Matterhorn is on the brink

In 18 days, on October 29th, the first descent of the 2022/23 Ski World Cup season is scheduled to take place under the Matterhorn. But the cross-border race is apparently in danger of ending before it even starts. It is questionable whether the mega downhill run will start in Zermatt/Cervinia.
