Celebrities from all over the world didn't want to miss the dream US Open final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday. Basketball superstar Stephen Curry, Hollywood icon Ben Stiller, fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, football coaching legend Pep Guardiola, and of course, US President Donald Trump – these were just a few of the stars and starlets who attended the grand spectacle in the stands of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Jannik Sinner must have been particularly pleased with one fan, though. Ski queen Lindsey Vonn was cheering on the winner in his pit. The photographers' lenses captured the American eagerly following the match directly behind Sinner's coaches, Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill.

In the middle of the match, Vonn posted on Instagram: "From the coolest Chile to the hottest ticket in tennis - Let's go, Jannik Sinner!" The 40-year-old Olympic and world champion had spent the last few days in South America preparing for the new ski season, from there she went directly to New York for the final of the US Open.
Sinner and Vonn have been friends for a long time. They met four years ago during a promotional event at the US Open. They hit it off immediately, and it took only a few months before they were skiing together at Kronplatz in South Tyrol. Former ski star Manfred Mölgg was also there.
Vonn and Sinner respect and admire each other. After the Sextner's Wimbledon triumph, the American wrote on Instagram: "I'm so proud of you, my friend!" Now she was cheering on the winner from the stands.
